As much as many people regard camping as an adventurous activity, some people do not love it. Their hatred for camping is facilitated by various things experienced during camping, and some of them include; bad foods, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, bad weather and the poor state of essential facilities such as bathrooms.
Camping should be a fun filled activity, and there should be no reason to finding it uncomfortable. As I can see, the reasons for hating camping are quite genuine, and if not carefully addressed, a camping beginner can hate the activity forever. Have an entertainment – Camping takes you away from the comforts of your home into an unknown place which could be a bit boring. It is important that you carry your laptop which has a powerful battery and some of your favorite movies and music that can keep you entertained. True campers do not need such types of entertainment because they know how to have fun during camping.
Pack the type of food you love – The types of food at camping may not please most camping haters because there are a few variations to choose. You may not like the foods and the manner in which they are prepared. Therefore, it is important that you pack your favorite food and carry cooking utensils that would make cooking fun. Do not stay hungry and you have ample time to prepare all the meals in a day.
You do not have to use tents – Reused camping tents are not usually in the best condition, and some of them are torn thus discouraging you from going camping. Torn tents leak, and it is cold inside because you are exposed to adverse weather, and sometimes, crawling insects can invade the camp. It is not a must that you use such tents, and you can opt for Teepees, camper-vans, bell tents or cabins which are more comfortable than tents. They give a lot of protection, and they are spacious such that you can carry some of your furniture and bed.
Better bathrooms – Suppose you can access better bathroom conditions at camping then you can find camping experience enjoyable. True campers are creative, and they can have a make shift bathroom for their needs. However, it does not have to be like that, and you can get better bathrooms. You can carry a portable camping toilet which gives you the same experience as if you are at home. Taking a shower with cold water is also another challenge, but you can solve it by having a solar powered shower.
